Glidden Ralston defeated Storm Lake St. Mary’s 52-30 Thursday night in a 1A region 1st round girls basketball game in Glidden.
Glidden Ralston scored ten straight points to start the game, and led 13-4 after the 1st quarter. The Panthers pulled within five during the 2nd quarter, but the score at halftime was 23-12. Glidden Ralston went on a 14-2 run to end the 3rd quarter to put the score at 42-19.
Neely Bacon led St. Mary’s with 10 points, followed by Kielee Larson with 6. Kassidy Wenck and Olivia Squibb each had 20 for the Wildcats.

St. Mary’s finishes at 0-23. The Panthers’ only senior is Ashley Cruz-Camacho.
Glidden Ralston (7-14) will play at Coon Rapids Bayard in a region quarterfinal this coming Tuesday.
