The Sioux Central girls basketball team beat East Sac County 44-33 tonight (Fri) in Sioux Rapids.
Sioux Central jumped up 9-0, but the Raiders scored eight straight to end the 1st quarter. The Rebels never let the lead slip away, as they led by as many as eight in the 1st half en route to a 23-16 halftime lead. East Sac got the lead as high as 14 in the 2nd half.
Avery Wilson led Sioux Central with 13 points, and Sage Weber had 12. Sioux Central goes to 12-5, and 5-3 in the Twin Lakes Conference.
Makenna Steiger, Sarah Bontrager, and Addisen Ehler all had 9 for the Raiders, as East Sac slides to 8-9, 4-5.

The Sioux Central boys used a strong defensive effort in their 53-29 win over East Sac.
Sioux Central took a 6-0 lead and kept the advantage the rest of the way. The Rebels led by as many as 13 in the 1st half, and the score was 27-16 at halftime. The Raiders only got as close as nine early in the 3rd.
Three Sioux Central players scored in double figures. Koen Glover led them with 15, Max Wittmaack provided 13 off the bench, and Owen Mills had 12. The Rebels are now 10-5, 5-4 TLC.
East Sac falls to 7-9, 4-5 TLC. The Raiders were led by Asher Lawler with 11.
