#7 in 1A Newell Fonda was victorious 9-1 over Ridge View in Galva tonight (Tues).
The Mustangs scored three in 1st inning which included an RBI groundout by Kinzee Hinders that brought two runs home, and an RBI triple by Anna Mercer. Ridge View got a run back in the bottom of the 1st thanks to a sacrifice fly RBI by Tatum Shepherd to make the score 3-1.
An RBI groundout by Isabel Bartek in the 5th, and then an RBI single by Jaicee Vanderhoff in the 6th made it 5-1. A four-run 7th included RBI singles by McKenna Sievers and Jocee Walsh. Mercer went 3-4 on the night.
Kierra Jungers was the winning pitcher throwing a two-hitter with ten strikeouts. Raptors pitcher Shepherd registered seven strikeouts.
