Late Score Gives Ridge View Shutout Win in Lawton

Lucas Heilman’s 15 yard touchdown run with 7:37 remaining lifted Ridge View to a 6-0 victory at Lawton Bronson.

After each team went three-and-out to begin the 2nd half, Ridge View put together a drive that started at their 22 and got as deep as the Lawton Bronson 23. Lawton Bronson followed up the touchdown, and Ridge View took over at the opponent’s 39 after a punt with 5:51 left. A 14-yard run by Raif Jensen helped the Raptors get to the five-yard line, but a pair of negative plays pushed them back to the 11, and a 4th and goal fade to the end zone fell incomplete with 50 seconds left. Lawton Bronson failed to get a 1st down on the ensuing drive, and turned the ball over on down with 11 seconds left.

Ridge View had 180 yards of offense, including 137 on the ground. The Raptors defense held Lawton Bronson to just 93 yards on the night. Heilman had 12 carries for 43 yards. Gavin Vohs rushed for 48, and Raif Jensen ran for 42 and threw for 43. Lawton Bronson ran only 15 plays in the 2nd half.
