1A in Aurelia
Alta Aurelia finished 1st with a collective score of 385, 12 better than Kingsley Pierson. 3rd place finisher MMC-RU also advances to next Wednesday’s (May 15th) region final at the BVU Golf Course at Lake Creek since Alta Aurelia was playing on their home course.
Alta Aurelia’s Avery Westphal was the runner-up medalist shooting an 85, seven off the lead. Maggie Bloom had the 3rd best score of 89.
1A in Jewell
Newell Fonda advances with a 2nd place finish of 420. BCLUW was 1st with 384.
Grace Erickson led the Mustangs by shooting a 100.
Next Wednesday’s region final will be at Crestwood Hills.
2A in Holstein
East Sac County moves on with a 1st place finish carding a 386, 11 strokes better than runner-up Hinton.
Sidney Bieret of the Raiders was 4th individually with a 92.
Cherokee placed 4th, but two of their players advanced individually including Amelia Brown who was 3rd with a 91, and Julie DeVos finished 5th with 95. The region final will be at Carroll.
Ridge View finished 5th with 436, then Sioux Central 458, and OA-BCIG carded 479.
2A in Clarion
Pocahontas finished 4th in the team standings with a 427. Nicole Panbecker advanced individually thanks to a 5th place finish and a score of 89.
Manson Northwest Webster ended up 7th at 536.
