Kierra Jungers threw a perfect game and struck out 18 batters in Newell-Fonda’s 4-0 win over Akron-Westfield Friday night in Fonda.
The Mustangs had nine hits in the game with four different players collecting two each. The 8th ranked Mustangs (27-6) will now play at 3rd ranked Remsen-St. Mary’s (22-0) Monday night at Remsen with the winner advancing to the 1A State Tournament.
