Remsen-St. Mary’s scored five runs in the first inning and went on to beat Newell-Fonda 10-2 in a 1A district semi-final baseball game played Tuesday night at Remsen.
The Hawks would finish the game with 13 hits and their pitching duo of Colling Homan and Dalton Klein held the Mustangs to one. Brooks Bellcock delivered an RBI single in the sixth and the other Mustang run came on an RBI groundout off the bat of Jackson Bellcock.
RSM, now 21-4, will host a district final Saturday night and the Mustangs finish their year with a record of 15-11.
