Jaxx DeJean hit a grand slam and drove in six runs and the OA-BCIG baseball team beat Carroll-Kumeper 8-4 in a class 2A district final played Saturday night at Ida Grove.
The Falcons had eleven hits in the game with Isaac Hoefling and Miles Chesney each collecting three.
Bryson Kolar picked up the win going 3 1/3 innings, Chesney pitched 3 1/3 and DeJean pitched one third of an inning.
OA-BCIG, now 15-8, will play Chariton (23-4) Tuesday night in a sub-state final at Boone. Chariton beat Van Meter 6-5 in their district final. Tuesday’s game starts at 7pm and will be broadcast on 92.9FM KKIA.
