Philadelphia Eagles rookie Cooper DeJean has been nominated for this year’s NFL defensive player of the year award.
DeJean was among the highest-rated players in the slot, holding opponents to 50 receptions. He had five pass breakups, and quarterbacks had an 82.2 passer rating against him.
Also nominated for the award are a pair of L.A. Rams players, defensive tackle Braden Fiske and edge rusher Jared Verse. Also up for the award are Miami’s Chop Robinson and DeJean’s Eagles teammate Quinyon Mitchell.
