The Boone football team beat Storm Lake 37-20 Friday night spoiling the Tornadoes home opener.
Boone had 431 yards rushing in the game, 295 in the first half as they built a 30-0 lead after the first two quarters.
Storm Lake never gave up and made a game of it as Carson Lullmann went 27-for-42 through the air for 299 yards with three touchdown passes. Lullmann connected with Cam Boyd on touchdowns of 49 and 30 yards, and he also hit Rylan Richardson with a five yard strike. Boyd had 11 receptions for 182 yards.
Boone finished with 460 yards of total offense and Storm Lake finished with 335.
Storm Lake is now 1-1 and will play at Council Bluffs-Thomas Jefferson next Friday night at 7pm.
