The LifeServe Blood Center is encouraging citizens to donate blood.
According to a news release, donor retention is a big struggle at LifeServe, as many donors only give blood once or twice per year. LifeServe is seeking help so they can have a more stable blood supply.
A blood drive is coming up on Tuesday, February 6th from 12:30 to 5:30pm at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Schedule a blood donation appointment online at www.lifeservebloodcenter.org, or call 800-287-4903.
The LifeServe Blood Center is a non-profit, community-based blood center that has served the needs of local hospitals and patients in the region since 1947. LifeServe provides blood products to 161 hospitals primarily in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
