LifeServe Blood Center results for October show that 66 units of blood were collected in two different blood drives in Storm Lake this month.
A news release states LifeServe Blood Center does their best every month to serve local communities this month in their 2 blood drives to support Buena Vista Regional Medical Center and more than 160 other local hospitals that they serve. All the blood collected will be able to save up to 198 lives.
Some of the local donors that hit milestones with their donations are Alyssa Solem 1 Gallon, Wendy Hernandez 1 Gallon, Ashley Lovell two gallons, Richard Peterson two gallons, Robert Danielson, three gallons, David Kofmehl four gallons, Bruce Erie five gallons, Sandy Pearson seven gallons, and Russell Chrischilles 10 gallons.
Four LifeServe blood drives are scheduled in Storm Lake in November including Tuesday November 5th at Buena Vista University from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, Tuesday November 12th at St. Marks Church from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm, Wednesday November 13th at Storm Lake High School which is a private drive and Friday November 22nd @ United Methodist Church from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
