Over One-Hundred Units of Blood Collected at Storm Lake LifeServe Blood Drives in March

A total of 111 units of blood were collected at three LifeServe Blood Center blood drives in Storm Lake this month.

The local blood drives were hosted to support the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center, as well as over 130 other hospitals that are served by LifeServe. The blood donated has the ability to save up to 333 local lives.

Several local donors reached milestones with their most recent donation. William Tiedeman reached eight gallons of blood donated…Jim Demers and Bonnie Stern five gallons…Ryan Berg four gallons…and Laura Pariseau and Rudolph Harden have now donated one gallon of blood.

Two blood drives are scheduled in Storm Lake during the month of April. A blood drive will be held on Tuesday, April 4th from 12:30 to 5:30pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. A blood drive is also scheduled for Friday, April 21st from 9am to 1pm at the United Methodist Church. Text the word “LIFESERVE” to 999-777 to make your next appointment.
