Trial Date in Place for Former Kingsley Police Chief

The jury trial for the former police chief in Kingsley, who is accused of using confidential resources to stalk his ex-girlfriend, is scheduled for July 11th.

According to online court documents, the final pretrial conference for James Dunn will be held on April 11th.

Dunn allegedly sent “alarming and concerning” letters to a man dating a woman that he previously had a romantic relationship with. The 54-year-old Dunn faces 19 criminal charges out of Plymouth County, including Unauthorized access To Or Dissemination of Intelligence Data, Unauthorized Dissemination of Criminal History Data, Stalking, and Falsely Obtaining Criminal History Data. Dunn allegedly used the privileged data to obtain information about the woman and her current boyfriend.

Dunn was arrested at his Kingsley residence back on February 15th. He pleaded not guilty to the charges last week.
