Wall Lake Man Sentenced to Prison on Theft Charges

A Wall Lake man was sentenced on Monday in Sac County District Court to serve ten years in prison on multiple theft charges.

According to a news release from the Sac County Attorney’s Office, Jacob Lindner was convicted on one count of 1st Degree Theft, a class C felony…and two counts of 2nd Degree Theft, both class D felonies. Six other charges were dismissed.

Late last year, Lindner was wanted on several active warrants by the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, including the Theft charges, as well as 3rd Degree Burglary, Control of Firearm by a Felon, and Ongoing Criminal Conduct.

According to criminal complaints, in late September and early October of last year, Lindner reportedly stole over 15-thousand dollars worth of items from a residence in Odebolt. Last September, Lindner stole items from a Wall Lake residence including a large air compressor, household goods, and equipment. He also reportedly stole several vehicle parts from a farm building in Sac City.

In addition to the prison term, Lindner must pay over ten-thousand dollars in victim restitution.
