The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for portions of northwest Iowa starting on Thursday, and running into early Friday morning.
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for counties including Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, and O’Brien from 6am Thursday through 6am Friday. A Winter Storm Watch has also been issued for counties including Pocahontas and Palo Alto from noon Thursday until 6am Friday.
Between five and eight inches of snow are expected in those areas, with patchy blowing snow also expected.
