Spencer Man Arrested for OWI was Wanted on Warrants From Other States

A man who had arrest warrants out of two other states was arrested in Clay County last week following a drinking while driving incident.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, shortly before 11pm last Tuesday, November 1st, a traffic stop was initiated in the 36-hundred mile of 240th Avenue. The driver, 28-year-old Cody Quail of Spencer, was believed to have been drinking, and after further investigation was placed under arrest. Quail was transported to the Clay County Jail, and was charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense.

Quail was also taken into custody for warrants out of Illinois and Texas. Quail is currently being held on a 75-hundred dollar bond on a Grayson County Texas arrest warrant, and a 20-thousand dollar bond on a Macoupin County Illinois arrest warrant, both for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
