DeRoos is an Alta native who previously served in the Iowa Army National Guard. He has a strong military background, including four years of active duty deployment.
The Buena Vista County Veterans Affairs Office is located at 1709 East Richland Street in Storm Lake. The BV County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved temporarily relocating the office to the county’s former Information Technology Room at the courthouse during the upcoming East Richland Annex remodeling project. The relocation spot was recommended by the county’s facilities committee. The remodeling is expected to begin in mid to late October.
