South Dakota Man Sentenced to Prison in BV District Court on Drug-Related Charges

A Sioux Falls, South Dakota man was sentenced this week in Buena Vista County District Court to serve up to five years in prison on drug-related charges.

19-year-old Tailor Khamtanh previously entered a guilty plea for the crime of Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana, a class D felony.

Earlier this year on January 29th, Khamtanh was arrested by Storm Lake Police after being pulled over for a minor traffic violation. During the stop, a police department K9 was deployed and indicated to narcotics in the vehicle. Over 60 grams of marijuana were located in the vehicle, along with over 20 THC cartridges, drug equipment, and a loaded handgun.
