Lakeside Man Arrested on Several Charges

A Lakeside man was arrested on multiple charges over the weekend, including felony warrants from a year ago.

Shortly before 1:30am Sunday, Storm Lake Police Officers responded to a noise complaint at 720 1/2 Cayuga Street. Upon arrival, 25-year-old Idris Keyanye was found to be wanted on several Buena Vista County warrants and was taken into custody. Keyanye was charged with several Failure to Appear warrants, including for three counts of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card, an aggravated misdemeanor…Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication and 3rd Degree Harassment, both simple misdemeanors.

Keyanye was also taken into custody on a Buena Vista County warrant for Possession of Contraband in a Correctional Institution, a class D felony, in which he had drugs concealed in his socks during an arrest on August 12th of last year. Another Class D felony warrant for Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury stemmed from an incident on August 16th of last year regarding an assault in the 700 block of Erie Street in Storm Lake. Keyanye knocked a male victim unconscious, then kicked him in the head and punched him in the face while he was unconscious which caused lacerations and bodily injuries. Police were unable to located Keyanye at that time.

He’s also been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. Keyanye was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a 13-thousand 600-dollar bond.
