A six-run 2nd inning helped Sioux Central to a 9-1 win against West Bend Mallard this Friday evening in Gilmore City.
The Rebels sent ten batters to the plate in the 2nd, which include a two-RBI single by Jake Hargens. Sioux Central add a run in the 5th on a sacrifice fly by Carter Boettcher, and two more in the 7th as Ethan Mills and Konnor McKeever had RBI hits.
Landon Olson allowed only one hit in six innings and struck out seven. Postgame comments from coach Al Vasher are posted below.
Sioux Central is now 10-2, and play at Emmetsburg on Monday. The Wolverines drop to 0-9.
