COVID Testing Information
January 21, 2022 1:31pm
With COVID spreading in the area, here's a reminder about where to go to get tested.
If someone has mild or no symptoms, they can pick up an over-the-counter test from local pharmacies. Sign up at www.testiowa.com to get a kit mailed, or pick up a free kit at Buena Vista County Public Health.
For those experiencing moderate to mild symptoms, schedule an appointment with your primary care provider, or an on-call provider at the clinics.
Go to the ER if you have severe shortage of breath, severe weakness, or chest pain not related to coughing.
The Buena Vista Regional Medical Center Emergency Department does not offer walk-in testing.
Every home in the United States is eligible to order four at-home COVID tests, free of charge. Go to www.covidtests.gov.
