Storm Lake Wrestling Team Defeats Western Christian and Cherokee

The Storm Lake wrestling team won both matches of their Lakes Conference double-dual in the last home meet of the season. 

The Tornadoes pinned Western Christian 54-18, and then downed Cherokee 66-12. 

Edgar Barriero won twice, by a score of 13-11, and then by fall in 2:54.  Dwaune Dykes won twice by fall, including in 1:08 in the Cherokee dual.  Deeshawn Amida picked up a 2-1 win, and followed that up with a pinfall victory in 1:12.  David Santos won by fall in 3:08 in the Cherokee dual, and also in that dual Aiden Phillips was victorious by fall in 20 seconds.  

Storm Lake is now 9-6 in duals, and wind up 3-2 in the Lakes.  They'll be in Sioux City this coming Saturday as part of the Bishop Heelan Invitational.
