After no comments were made during a public hearing, the Storm Lake City Council on Monday subsequently approved the fiscal years 2023-2027 capital improvement plan.
Even though five fiscal years are presented for planning purposes, the council can only officially approve one year of expenditures at a time, and the actual fiscal impact will be approved through the official City budget in the next few weeks.

The Final capital improvement plan incorporates requests that were made by the council during budget workshops which were held in December.
The council also approved a public hearing for February 7th in the council chambers regarding setting the tax levy rate and maximum property tax dollars.
