The Ridge View Raptors fell to the West Sioux Falcons 45-20 in the round of 16

The first quarter saw both teams score. The game started with a Raptors three and out, however trouble would strike after the Falcons partially blocked the Raptors punt. The Falcons took over on the Raptor 29, but a couple plays later the Raptors defense recovered a Falcons fumble. The Raptors would drive the ball before turning it over themselves in Falcons territory. The Falcons would put together a 10 play, 85 yard drive that took 4:54 capped off with a 17 yard touchdown reception to give the Falcons a 7-0 lead. The following drive the Raptors took the ball 77 yards, in 6 plays in 2:50. The drive was capped off by Cade Harriman run of 1 yard to tie the game a 7. That is the way the game would go to the second quarter.

The second quarter saw the Falcons explode on offense. The Falcons would score on back to back possessions with short fields. The first was a 54 yard drive that took just over a minute capped by an 18 yard touchdown reception by Lynott, that gave the Falcons a 14-7 lead. After a Ridge View fake punt the Falcons stopped they took over on the Ridge View 39. The Falcons added to their lead with a 39 yard drive that took 3:32 to lead 21-7. The very next kickoff Brody Deitering ran back an 84 yard kickoff return for the touchdown to cut the lead to 21-14. The Falcons answered before the half to take a 28-14 lead into the halftime break.

The Falcons did not waste any time finding the endzone in the third quarter. On the first play from scrimmage Carter Bultman ran for a 60 yard tocuhdown to extend the Falcon lead to 35-14. After a Raptors punt Bultman would get free again. This time it was a 69 yard score for Bultman to make it 42-14 for the Falcons. The Raptors would score after the teams traded turnovers to cut the lead to 42-20. The Falcons would score once more with a 30 yard field goal from Lopez to make it 45-20, and that is how the game would finish.

With the win the West Sioux Falcons improve to 9-1 and advance to the round of 8 for the playoffs. The Falcons travel to take on the Underwood Eagles next Friday. Underwood shut-out Western Christian 35-0.

With the loss the Raptors wrap up the season 6-4, and say good-bye to 13 seniors
