Webster City Picks Up Win Over Tornadoes

Webster City took advantage of short fields all night long and the Lynx picked up a 41-6 win at Storm Lake Friday night.

Webster City's CJ Hisler took the opening kickoff 99 yards to the endzone to open the game and after that the Lynx scored on their next five possessions on touchdown drives of 68, 42, 31, 43, and 21 on their way to a 41-0 lead at halftime.

The Tornadoes avoided their third straight shutout when Anoun Chaiyawong scored on a 21 yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter.

Webster City had 297 yards of offense compared  to the Tornadoes 164.  Chaiyawong had 12 carries for 90 yards and Martin Saldana had 13 rushes for 53 yards.  Their were only two pass attempts in the game between the two teams.

The Lynx are now 6-2 and 4-0 in the district and will look to run the district table next week versus Denison-Schleswig.  The Tornadoes are now 0-8 on the year and will conclude the season next Friday at Spencer.
