Fort Dodge Football Blanks Tornadoes

Connor Carver threw for a touchdown and ran for another leading Fort Dodge to a 42-0 win over Storm Lake Friday night at Tornado Field.

The Dodgers returned the opening kick for a touchdown and would then score on their next three possessions to build a 28-0 lead with eight minutes to play in the first half and would later lead 35-0 at halftime.

The Dodgers had 291 yards of offense with running back Jon Presswood gaining 87 yards on the ground and Carver was 3-for-8 through the air for 94 yards.  

Storm Lake had 86 yards of offense for the game led by Martin Saldana's 52 yards rushing.

Each team had one turnover with Brody Boeckman coming up with an interception for the Tornado defense.

Storm Lake falls to 0-7 and 0-3 in the district and will play again next week vs. Webster City.  Fort Dodge is now 5-2 and 1-2 in the district.
