Dutch Spoil Tornado Homecoming Football Game

MOC-Floyd Valley scored the only two touchdowns of the second half and defeated Storm Lake 26-17 Friday night at Storm Lake.

Eduardo Sanchez had a pair of four yard touchdown runs in the first half and Deryk Hernandez booted a  30-yard field goal with 23 seconds left in the 2nd quarter giving the Tornadoes a 17-14 lead at the half.  Storm Lake had 172 total yards of offense in the first half including 111 on the ground but in the 2nd half they mustered only 77 yards of offense and turned the ball over twice.

Storm Lake finished the game with 249 yards of offense, 172 of that on the ground led by Lewis Soto's 52 yards rushing. Josh Steffen was 6-for-11 through the air for 79 yards and one interception.

MOC-Floyd Valley had 307 yards of offense with 152 of it on the ground led by Ayden Klein's 95 yards.  Carson Jager completed 10-of-22 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown.
