Storm Lake Woman Sentenced to Prison for Perjury ; Failure to Appear

A Storm Lake woman was sentenced on Tuesday in Buena Vista County District Court to serve up to ten years in prison for perjury and failure to appear in court.

37-year-old Lisa Lohnes entered a guilty plea back on August 12th for Perjury and Failure to Appear, both class D felonies.

Storm Lake Police arrested Lohnes multiple times last year. In July of 2020, Lohnes was accused of entering a man's apartment without permission. When she was told to leave, Lohnes reportedly began hitting the male victim, and also bit him on the arm causing bodily injury.

In late May of last year, Lohnes was arrested for assaulting a man on the Dollar Tree store property.

In late February of 2020, Lohnes was arrested on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault Impeding Airflow after an altercation at an apartment at 401 Cayuga Street.
