Governor Stops in Spencer for Sesquicentennial Exhibit Opening Reception

Governor Kim Reynolds was on hand Thursday afternoon for the opening reception of the sesquicentennial exhibit at the Clay County Heritage Center in Spencer, where she spoke of the importance of communities celebrating their heritage...(audio clip below)

In speaking with reporters, Reynolds said she plans to call a special session of the Iowa Legislature in September to address re-districting. She says that's likely the earliest that numbers will be available from the latest census, a critical tool in re-drawing political boundaries.
