Des Moines Man Arrested For Driving Nearly 100 Miles Per Hour in Clay County

A Des Moines man faces several charges after getting caught going 98 miles-per-hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone in Clay County.
According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, a deputy pulled over a 2013 Nissan Altima at around 6pm Monday in the 24-hundred mile of 380th Street. During an investigation, it was discovered that the driver, 19-year-old Carlos Merlos Rojas, had a suspended driver's license.
Rojas was arrested and charged with Driving While Suspended, Speeding, Reckless Driving, and No Proof of Insurance. He was booked into the Clay County Jail.
