East Sac County Raiders pick up first win vs Storm Lake Saint Mary's

The Raiders defeated the Panthers 21-2 in four innings for their first win of the season

The first inning saw the Panthers go down in order. The Raiders saw their first two batter ground out before a hit by pitch lead to a Caleb Villhauer had a base hit RBI. After one the Raiders lead 1-0.

The second again saw the Panthers go down in order, while the Raiders had a break out inning. The Raiders would start the inning by sending the first 11 batters to the plate without getting an out. Over that run the Raiders would score nine runs, 4 hits, 3 hit by pitch, and 2 errors. After two full innings the Raiders lead 10-0.

The third inning saw the Panthers crack the scoreboard. The Panthers would score two runs after Cavasos lead off the inning with a base hit. The Raiders would have another big inning. During the third the Raiders would score 11 runs, send 16 batters to the plate. The first 11 Raiders would reach safely in the third. Over the inning the Raiders collected 8 hits, 1 HBP, and 3 walks. After three innings the score was 21-2.

In the fourth inning saw Meredith wrap up his outing by striking out the Brett Peterson to give the Raiders the 21-2.

With the win Raiders are now 1-7, the Panthers fall to 0-6

The Wells Ag Supply of Fonda player of the game was Dylan Meredith. Meredith threw the full four innings with 3 strikeouts, no walks, only giving up 2 hits and 2 runs. Meredith also had a good day at the plate going 2/3 with 2 hits, scoring 2 runs and had a run batted in.
