Tornado Baseball Wins Conference Opener At Spencer

Jake Eddie threw six scoreless innings and went 3-for-4 at the plate with six RBI and the Storm Lake baseball team beat Spencer 11-4 Wednesday night in the Lakes Conference opener for both teams.  Eddie allowed seven hits while striking out eleven and allowed no walks in picking up his second win in as many starts.

The Tornadoes had 12 hits in the game with Eddie and Hunter DeMey leading the way.  DeMey reached base four times picking up three singles and a walk and in the process delivered three RBI and scored twice.  Ben Raveling added two hits and two RBI.

Storm Lake is now 6-1 overall and will play again Friday night at LeMars, the game will be broadcast on Mix 101.7 KAYL.
