Storm Lake Tennis/Boys Golf/Soccer/Track Results From 4-27-21

The Spencer boys soccer team handed Storm Lake their first loss of the season 3-2 Tuesday night.  The Tigers built a 3-1 lead at the half and improved their record to 7-2 while the Tornadoes fall to 8-1.  The Spencer girls defeated the Tornadoes 11-0.

The Tornado tennis teams played Spencer as well, The Tiger girls team won 7-2.  Morgan Sievert won her singles match and teamed up with Eh Ler Moo Taw to win a doubles match.  The Storm Lake boys lost to Spencer 6-3, winning their singles matches were Jaylen Saengchanpheng, Kevin Lopez, and Josh Steffen.

The Tornado boys golf team hosted Cherokee Tuesday and played the front nine at the BVU golf course at Lake Creek.  The Tornadoes shot a 183 and beat the Braves by one stroke.  Ben Raveling and Mark Eddie led the way with 43's (Raveling won a playoff for the medalist honor), Carson Lullmann carded a 48, and Jake Eddie shot a 49.  Other scores for the varsity were Sam Dvergsten with a 52 and Jayran Butler shot 56.  The J-V team was led by Sam Slight's 49.

Both track and field teams competed at the Lynn Jolly relays at Cherokee on Tuesday and both finished in 8th place.
