BVU Student Arrested For Being Intended Recipient of Marijuana Package

A Buena Vista University student was charged with a controlled substance violation after Storm Lake Police responded to a report of a package containing marijuana products sent from California by mail to BVU.
At approximately noon yesterday (Tues), police made contact with 21-year-old Christopher Ramirez of Lancaster, California, who is alleged to be the intended recipient of the package. Ramirez was taken into custody without incident, and charged with Controlled Substance Violation, a class D felony.
Ramirez was transported to the Buena Vista County Jail, where he was booked and held on a five-thousand dollar bond.
The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted in the investigation by Buena Vista University Security.
