Storm Lake boys soccer knocks off Fort Dodge

Storm Lake Tornadoes defeated the Fort Dodge Dodgers 4-0 to improve to 3-0 on the young season.

The early part of the first half saw a defensive battle. However the Tornadoes would break the stalemate with 5:39 to to go in the first half. The first goal was scored by Fernando Reyes his first of the season, and was assisted by Jose Oropeza. The Tornadoes would strike one more time in the opening half with 1:31 to go off of an Alejandro Zuniga goal wich was asssisted by Valentin Sanchez. The Tornadoes would go to the half leading 2-0.

The second half saw two more Tornado goals. The first coming at 8:37 from Shawn Yang his first of the season. The Tornadoes would then score one final goal with just over two minutes to go by Jose Oropeza to cap the 4-0 win. The Tornadoes open the season 3-0, with all three wins coming in the first week of the season. The Storm Lake JV boys team also beat Fort Dodge 3-1 to improve to 2-0 on the season
