BV Public Health Bids Farewell to Retiring Administrator Pam Bogue

March 27, 2021 3:06pm

Another successful clinic was conducted this past Thursday at King's Pointe Resort as all available timeslots were filled, according to Buena Vista County Public Health.

In addition to that, booster doses were completed, and multiple schools were visited for additional vaccinations.

An open, community-wide, vaccination clinic will NOT be conducted this week. Instead, a clinic will be held at the Tyson Pork Plant this coming Friday, April 2nd, as approximately 400 more employees have decided to be vaccinated, which will be done over a two-week period.

BV Public Health says Tyson Foods has done a wonderful job of explaining the benefits of vaccination and providing education to employees regarding COVID prevention, illness, and the importance of getting vaccinated.

The Iowa Department of Public Health expects vaccinations will be open to the general public beginning on Monday, April 5th. According to BV Public Health, an online scheduling tool will be available late this week. They will also provide assistance for others to make an appointment who don't have access to the internet, or who need help navigating the tool.

BV Public Health would also like to congratulate Pam Bogue on her retirement after 13 and-a-half years as the Public Health Administrator. Bogue was a staff nurse for BV Public Health for approximately ten years prior to being the administrator.

Instead of a large social gathering, residents that would like to wish Pam an enjoyable retirement are asked to send her a card. The address to mail cards is 1536 490th Street...Rembrandt, Iowa...50576.
