Snow Removal Operation March 14-17, 2021

The cost of Storm Lake snow removal operations for the snow event from March 14th through the March 17th was approximately 26-thousand 600-dollars.
The operations consisted of 188 labor hours...180 equipment hours...75 tons of salt/sand mix...and 16-hundred gallons of diesel fuel.
Emergency routes were plowed, and the City's Snow Removal Plan was followed until the operations were completed. This case the declaration was for four days.
Snow Emergencies are declared for the number of days it is likely to take to remove expected snow based on the storm that is forecast.
