BV Public Health Weekly Vaccine Progress ; Around 22-Hundred Doses Expected to be Administered by End of Weekend

Buena Vista County Public Health this week has completed approximately 180 various prime doses of COVID vaccine to people who qualify for Phase 1A and 1B.
BV Public Health has had clinics at their office for those 65 and older, as well as at the Legion in Sioux Rapids. BV Public Health began to administer the Johnson and Johnson vaccine on Wednesday, and have administered approximately 60 doses of that vaccine so far.
Tomorrow (Thur) they will be administering to various businesses that qualify for the second tier of Phase 1B, including food, agriculture, distribution, and manufacturing workers that live or work in congregate settings, as well as more individuals that are 65 and up. Vaccinations will be given at Rembrandt Foods tomorrow (Thur) and Friday. Matrix Medical is preparing to start vaccinating Tyson Foods staff on Friday morning, continuing through the day on Saturday.
BV Public Health is on track to complete approximately 22-hundred doses by Sunday night.
