The East Sac County boys basketball team jumped out to a 15-1 lead after the first seven minutes of their game with Ridge View but the Raiders had to fight until the end to pick up a hard fought 53-49 win over the visiting Raptors in a game played Thursday night at Sac City.

Ridge View trailed 41-33 heading into the 4th quarter and rallied to take their only lead of the game at 47-45 with just under four minutes to play, but the Raiders would score the next seven points and get a huge 3-pointer from Gavin Vondrak to put them up for good at 50-47.  The Raptors had the ball with 13 seconds left trailing 52-49 but a 3-pointer was no good and they fouled Camden Schroeder with six seconds left in the game and Schroeder would make one free throw to ice the game.

Schroeder scored 13 and Tyler Schmitt led East Sac County with a game high 14 but it was Vondrak who came up big with 12 points off the bench.

Ridge View was led by Beau Blackmore's 13, Cade Harriman had 11, and Caleb Kistenmacher chipped in with ten.  The Raptors made only 3-of-11 free throws in the game and the Raiders were 1-for-5 at the free throw line.

Ridge View concludes their season with a record of 16-7.  The Raiders, now 15-4, will play OA-BCIG in a 2A district final next Tuesday night.  The Falcons won their district semi-final game over Carroll Kuemper 79-63.
