Panthers and Raiders split basketball doubleheader

The East Sac County Raiders and Storm Lake Saint Mary's Panthers split games, with the Panthers winning the girls game 52-34, and the Raiders winning the boys game 77-28.
The opening of the girls game saw Emily Nothwher score the first seven of the game to give the Panthers a 7-0 lead. The Raiders would score a 4-0 run to cut the lead to 7-4. The Panthers would close the quarter out on a 10-6 run to lead after one 17-10.
The second saw the teams trade baskets on the way to a 23-15 score. The Panthers would see their biggest lead of the first half at 24-15. The Raiders closed out the first half on a 6-3 run, Panthers lead 27-21.
In the third the defenses clamped down, the Raiders got to within 27-25. The Panthers used a 6-2 run to get stay out in front 33-27. The Radiers would get the lasgt basket of the third to trail 33-29.
The Panthers flew out of the gate in the fourth quarter scoring a 14-0 run to lead 47-29. The Raiders collected a basket with 2:03 to go in the game to cut the lead to 47-32. The Panthers would wrap the game up on a 5-2 run including their biggest lead at 52-32. The Panthers won 52-34.
Stat leaders: East Sac-Bree Boeckman with 12 points, Mary Bontrager with 10 points
Storm Lake St Mary's-Sydney Hurd 17 points, Danika Demers 16 points, and the "Wells Ag Supply of Fonda Player of the Game" Emily Nothwher with 13 points (9 in the first, 11 in the first half)
Panthers improve to 9-2, 5-1 TLC, up next 1/19 vs #2 1A Newell-Fonda; Raiders 2-9, 0-4 TLC, up next 1/19 @ West Bend-Mallard
The East Sac boys take down St Mary's 77-28.
First quarter saw the Raiders jump out to a 15-0 lead. The Panthers scored their first basket with 2:40 to go in the first. Raiders wrapped up the quarter on a 11-1 run, to lead after one 26-3.
The Raiders came out in the second on an 8-4 run to lead 34-7. The Raiders would then rattle off 20 straight points to lead 54-7 at the half.
The teams traded baskets in the second half to get to a 77-28 Raider win.
Stat leaders: Panthers lead by Mason Laven with 11, Toby Jones with 7
East Sac was lead by the "Wells Ag Supply of Fonda Player of the Game" Tyler Schmitt who scored a game high 31 points (14 in the first, 12 in the second), Camden Schroeder with 12.
With the win the Raiders improve to 7-2, 4-1 TLC, the Panthers fall to 1-10, 0-6 TLC
