OA-BCIG Basketball Teams Sweep Storm Lake

The OA-BCIG basketball teams came to Storm Lake Saturday afternoon and left town with a pair of wins.  Riley Schiernbeck led four players in double figures scoring 15 and the Falcons girls evened their overall record at 6-6 with a 58-41 win.  Carly Murphy scored 14, and Anna Winterrowd and Addie Hickey each had eleven.  The Falcons made 30 of 46 free throw attempts compared to Storm Lake's 5 for 12.  The Tornadoes were led in scoring by Amy Slight with 14.  The Tornadoes fall to 1-11.

In the boys game, Cooper Dejean scored 33 points and Beckett Dejean had 25 and the Falcons turned a two point halftime deficit into a 74-59 win. The Falcons are now 10-1.  Storm Lake was led in scoring by Sam Dvergsten and Sam Slight who each had 19 points.  The Tornadoes are now 6-4.

OA-BCIG will play again Monday versus Cherokee and Storm Lake will play again this coming Friday at home against Cherokee.
