Man Seriously Injured in Cherokee County Accident
A Colorado man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident in Cherokee County.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened Wednesday shortly before 7:20pm. 28-year-old Alfred Linear of Aurora, Colorado was driving eastbound on County Road C-63 just beyond the Highway 59 intersection when he lost control and ran off the road to the right. The vehicle then over corrected and re-entered the roadway. It then swerved back to the right, went airborne, and entered the south ditch. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest on the top of the vehicle.
Linear received suspected serious/incapacitating injuries. He was transported to Cherokee Regional Medical Center, and then to MercyOne in Sioux City. The incident remains under investigation.
