Iowa Nearing 300-Thousand Positive COVID Tests
With over 18-hundred more COVID-19 cases reported by the Iowa Department of Public Health between 10am Tuesday and 10am today (Wed), the state is on the cusp of reaching 300-thousand positive tests.
There are 382 active cases in Buena Vista County, and over 35-thousand active cases statewide. In BV County and statewide, the 14-day positivity rate is 14-percent.
There have been ten more COVID-related deaths, bringing the Iowa total to 4,232.
The number of hospitalizations due to COVID across the state has dropped by 36 to 516. There are 77 hospitalizations in the northwest Iowa region, a decrease of ten.
