Ridge View at Sioux Central Basketball Recap

The Sioux Central girls began Tuesday's double-header in Sioux Rapids with a 52-39 victory over Ridge View.  

Sioux Central jumped out to a 7-2 lead, but Ridge View followed by scoring 15 consecutive points.  The Rebels soon after scored nine points in succession, as Ridge View led 21-18 at the half.  

Sioux Central regained the lead early in the 4th at 25-24.  A three by Mikayla Kolpin put the Raptors back in front 31-30, but Sioux Central closed the 3rd quarter strong to go up 35-31.  After Ridge View closed within three early in the 4th, Sioux Central regained some breathing room with a 5-0 run.  

Taylor Krager led all scorers with 19, and her sister Bradi added 12.  Madison Stowater topped the Raptors with 13.  

Sioux Central is now 6-3, dropping Ridge View to 4-4.  


The Ridge View boys defeated Sioux Central 59-51.  

The lead changed hands three times during the 1st quarter.  Ridge View took the lead for good at 10-8 late in the 1st, as they scored 12 straight points that extended into the 2nd quarter.  The Raptors were up 28-20 at the half.  

Ridge View built a 13 point lead early in the 3rd, but an 11-2 stretch pulled the Rebels within 35-31, but Ridge View answered by scoring the last four points of the 3rd, and pushed that to a 9-0 run as the 4th quarter unfolded.  The Raptors lead grew as large as 15 during the final period.  

Beau Blackmore led four Raptors in double-figures with 20, followed by Bo Clausen 15, Cade Harriman 13, and Caleb Kistenmacher 11.  Ridge View improves to 8-1.  

Jake Hargens had 20 for the Rebels, followed by Connor Christian with 17, as Sioux Central is now 3-4.  

The Sioux Central teams host Pocahontas Area on Thursday.

The Ridge View squads travel to Westwood on Friday.
