Iowa COVID Hospitalizations Down ; More Area Deaths

The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations in Iowa has dropped for the first time in the last few weeks, now at 1,516. That is down by 11 from the previous day, according to the state's coronavirus website.

COVID-19 patients in ICU are up by three to 286. There are 135 patients on ventilators, which is up by one.

In the northwest Iowa region, COVID-19 hospitalizations is down by two to 224.

 

There were nearly 42-hundred more positive cases confirmed from 10am Wednesday to 10am today (Thur) to bring the Iowa total over 198-thousand.

There have been eight more cases confirmed in Buena Vista County, putting the county's total at 2,794.

 

There have been 38 more deaths reported statewide, including the 14th in Buena Vista County, and 8th in Ida County. Over 21-hundred Iowans have now died of COVID.

There have been nearly 15-hundred additional recoveries. Over 112-thousand of the Iowa cases have recovered.
