Storm Lake Man Sentenced for Failure to Comply with Sex Registry Requirements

A Storm Lake man was sentenced in Buena Vista County District Court this week for failing to comply with sex registry requirements.
40-year-old James Bainbridge was sentenced for two counts of Failure to Comply with Sex Registry Requirements, 2nd or subsequent offense. The State argued for a term of incarceration. Bainbridge was sentenced to a five-year suspended prison sentence, and was placed on probation with the Iowa Department of Corrections for three years.
Bainbridge was convicted of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse in 2004 in Buena Vista County.
