School Board Approves SBRC Requests/Several Re-Appointments

The Storm Lake Board of Education this week approved two School Budget Review Committee requests.
Due to an enrollment increase at Storm Lake, the district is able to make a request to SBRC for an additional modified supplemental amount of nearly 516-thousand dollars. The money will increase the district's spending authority.
The Board also approved a request of over 500-thousand dollars for ELL students served beyond five years.
The School Board this week unanimously re-appointed Peter Steinfeld to serve as Board President, as well as Dave Skibsted as Board Vice-President.
The Board also re-appointed Trudy Pedersen as Board Secretary/Business Manager/School Business Official for the 2020-2021 school year...Steve Avery as School District Attorney...and COO Jeff Tollefsen will again serve as one of the student abuse investigators.
