Only three-percent of the corn in Iowa remains to be harvested, and that is almost four weeks ahead of last year and just over two weeks ahead of the five-year average. Farmers in northwest Iowa have less than one-percent of corn left to be harvested.
Statewide, the moisture content of field corn being harvested for grain remained at 15-percent.
Only one-percent of Iowa’s soybean crop remains to be harvested, over two weeks ahead of last year, and eight days ahead of average. Only scattered fields are left to be harvested.
Snowfall in northwest Iowa contributed to there being only three days suitable for fieldwork in the area last week, compared to 4.6 days statewide.
