Schaller Man Injured Working in Mills County Construction Zone

A Schaller man was injured while working in a construction zone in Mills County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the incident happened on just after 12:30 this (Tues) afternoon. 60-year-old William McBee of Dunlap, Tennessee was driving a 2014 Peterbilt 389K truck northbound on Interstate 29. A construction worker, 70-year-old Wayne Hansen of Schaller attempted to cross the single-lane of travel, walking west in the construction zone, and was struck by the vehicle.
Hansen was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
